History

Purchased new by the only registered keeper, it was the owners absolute pride and joy.

A real credit to the owner is that the car has never required any paintwork in its 27 years!
Garaged from new, this was a second car which was only used in nice weather.

The mileage is warranted through service history and MOT history.
In 2016 the car had a full major service carried out by Vauxhall Specialists – Courtenay Sport which included cambelt kit, water pump, all fluids and filters.

All original booklets are still with this GSi, including salesman business card, dealer rear view mirror hanger, and original Vauxhall binder.

Body & Paintwork

A 1992 Vauxhall Cavalier GSi with totally original paintwork.

Zero corrosion on the car, and the rear arches are literally as new, with the spot welds still showing – both inner and outer skins are without any deforming at all.
As can be seen in the pictures, all the door latches are still showing the original zinc plating, as are all the fixings within the tailgate.

All lights and badges are in great condition, with only the side repeaters having been changed for period oval side repeaters – something which is easily reverted.

All glass is original, and without any damage.
A truly stunning timewarp example.

Interior & Trim

As can be seen from the pictures, the interior of this Cavalier GSi presents incredibly well.

Original stereo is still in place, which operates just as it should do.
Likewise, all switchgear works exactly as it should, including the trip computer which is not missing any pixels.

The steering wheel is in near new condition, as are the pedals and the gearknob.

Still fitted are original Vauxhall rubber floor mats, and alongside these are a set of the very rare GSi2000 carpet floor mats, which have only minor wear.

The only change is GSi sill covers which have been fitted these are easily removed should you so wish.

Engine

The legendary C20XE engine. (Also known as ‘Redtop’ or ‘Valver’)

Having recently had a major service, all filters, fluids, belts and pulleys have been replaced with genuine items.
The engine is very quiet, even on cold start up, with none of the usual tapping lifters which is so very common with these engines.

When first released, these cars took the motoring press by storm, with what felt like mountains of power.
Vauxhall claimed 148bhp and boy did these cars shock – with great performance which should not be sniffed at even today.

A Stainless steel cat back exhaust system has been fitted for longevity, although the original black twin square pipe back box is with the car.

The engine bay itself presents very well, being original, even down to the original wax in areas.

Running Gear

Of course, as you would fully expect, the car drives just as it should do.

The suspension is still original, and gives great comfort with surprisingly good handling abilities, which can also be said said for the brakes.
Gear change and clutch operation is fantastic – and for anybody who know’s 90’s Vauxhall’s, you will be amazed to know the clutch pedal is without the usual squeak!

All tyres have lots of tread, and running gear presents very well.
