History
Supplied new to the original owner in 2000, at a cost of £38,880.00.
The car remained with the original owner until 2010 when it went to its second home, where it remained for 14 years as a cherished pride & joy vehicle until we proudly purchased the vehicle.
This beautiful Tuscan has a superb history file, right from the point of order – including original purchase invoice, all literature regarding the Tuscan, ordering process, build process, running in process & much more. A disc is within the file which shows pictures of the car throughout the factory build process.
All MOT & service history is present (both stamped in the original book & in terms of invoices).
in 2010 the car had the all important engine rebuild which means that the few known weak points have been dealt with.
Also in the file are original brochures, miscellaneous invoices & old tax discs etc.

Body & Paintwork
Like most TVR’s, the Tuscan is absolutely great to look at. Indeed when the Tuscan was released it stood out from ‘the usual’ cars that it competed with, such as the Porsche 911.
In many ways the Tuscan design was very much ahead of its time & it has aged very well indeed. This example in particular still looks superb, thanks to the low mileage & to the care it has been given over its 24 year lifespan. The paintwork looks brilliant, having benefitted from a single stage machine polish.
All lights are without any damage, wheels are unmarked, tyres are brand new (Goodyear Eagle F1), the exhausts look & sound superb (original baffled silencers are still with the car).
Interior & Trim
The interior is, dare we say it, even more ahead of its time than the exterior.
Everything works exactly as it should do, including the instrument cluster/display.
All trims are in good condition & it is hard to believe that this interior was designed & put together 24 years ago.
As the pictures show, the usual wear points are all in good condition, thanks again to the low mileage & the caring ownership.
Engine
The somewhat legendary Speed Six engine.
The Tuscan had the 4.0L version of the Speed Six, being an aluminium block & head meant weight was kept to a minimum, with this being the case & the engine being set quite far back it helped maintain fantastic front end turn in with understeer being kept to a minimum.
This particular engine is very quiet, it starts without any issue & performs exactly as it should do. No hesitations through the rev range at all & as advertised by TVR, the throttle response is instant. We have given the car a thorough service, which included the obvious oil & filter change, spark plugs, air filter & so on.
Importantly this car has a documented rebuild, as the early Speed Six engines did have a couple of weak spots but once these are dealt with, as they have been here, then you have a great performing, reliable & arguably one of the best sounding engines.
Running Gear
Known to be a weak point on the TVR’s of this era, the chassis & running gear is all in good original condition, thanks to a documented ‘wax’ application very early in the cars life, as well as dry usage only.
On the road this Tuscan drives brilliantly, with direct & compliant handling. Braking is very respectable, nice & straight.
The gearbox is a joy to use with a nice clutch feel too.
Wheels are unmarked with new premium tyres fitted.
