A fantastic trip down memory lane back to the 90’s with this Fireball Orange Speed Triple.
Extremely rare in such condition & surely a great little investment for years to come.

History

Arguably the bike that put Triumph on the map in the 90’s.
At a time when the Ducati Monster was very popular (also a naked version of a sports bike), Triumph came along in 94 with the Speed Triple.
A brutal, fast, great looking naked sports bike.

Rumours are that a R&D member of staff crashed his sports bike & road it around ‘naked’ (with no no fairings & a single headlight) & realised the bike was actually bags of fun in the more upright riding position & with the lack of aerodynamic help from the fairing, you really felt the wind & the speed was exaggerated because of this when riding.

How true the rumour is nobody really knows, but it could simply of been Triumph trying to tap into the ever popular Streetfighter scene which was really taking off at the time.
Either way the Speed Triple helped Triumph reach a younger, more fun market rather than being seen as a pleasant motorcycle manufacturer for the pleasant motorcyclist.

The Speed Triple borrowed a lot from the Daytona 900 of the time, indeed the chassis and engine were basically identical.
But that is no bad thing, a great chassis & engine combination for the time & they even had a super competitive race series for the Speed Triple which gave some spectacular racing.
On the road they got quite a name for being a brute/bruiser.

Fast forward to today & the iconic, original Speed Triple is now very hard to find in good original condition with low miles.

Body & Paintwork

All bodywork is original with original paint work.

The brochure ‘Fireball Orange’ colour looks superb, making this Speed Triple stand out in a crowd as the majority were finished in ‘Diablo Black’.
Having the brochures in the history showing the promotional bikes in orange is a really nice touch.

The headlight is still the original, the seats are superb, hugger/chain guard, mudguard, footrest hangers…all in fantastic condition.
Wheels still look fantastic, again in original condition & the exhausts still present really nicely.

To see this bike in the flesh, it is very hard to believe it is now 28 years old!!

Totally unmodified & a truly special bike, in true collectors condition & mileage.

Interior & Trim

All trims/switchgears are in superb condition.

Engine

As you would expect with such low miles, the bike runs beautifully & the engine is very quiet.

We have currently drained the fuel from the bike & removed the battery, predicting that the bike will likely go into a collection with such low miles, obviously we can easily & quickly have the bike up & running should a buyer choose so.

Aesthetically the engine is free of any damage, it presents extremely well just as it should do.

Running Gear

As can be seen in the pictures, all running gear is in superb order.
