Brief

Toyota Celica Supra 2.8i ‘P-Type’

We are advertising this car, on behalf of one of our customers, who purchased the Supra from us in December 2013.
After acquiring a very low mileage classic Ford, our customer unfortunately does not have the storage space for the Supra, and as such has sadly had to put it up for sale.

When was the last time you saw one of these?
Now incredibly rare with only 23 left on UK roads.
Only 74,000 miles in 29 years!

And this one has got to be one of the best, if not the best!

This car has got to be a great investment, it’s in the right 80’s colour with low mileage.
If you would like to see any further, more detailed pictures then don’t hesitate to contact us.

In March 2013 (approx. 600 miles ago), the car had many new service items, including rear shock absorbers, oils & oil filter, spark plugs, battery, reconditioning of the alternator, rotor arm etc.
In May 2014 a new cambelt and tensioner were fitted, and a new MOT passed.

This car is ready to go.

History

Registered 26th Feb 1985 ‘B’ registration.

The Supra has the last 7 years worth of MOT’s, as detailed below.
Unfortunately MOT’s previous to this date were lost by a former keeper.

However it is obviously when inspecting the car, that the mileage is genuine.

Barely used over the last 7 years, as detailed by MOT’s –

Sept 07 – 73914
Dec 09 – 74032
Nov 11 – 74032
May 13 – 74184
May 14 – 74583 – Only needed headlamp height adjustment

Body & Paintwork

This car is in very good condition, and the paintwork has a good shine.
The car gets a lot of admiring comments, and looks truly superb wherever you go.

Some bodywork repairs have been professionally carried out to the rear lower panel recently, and inside the rear wheel arches.
All repairs have been carried out by one of East Anglia’s Premier Bodycentre’s, who are manufacture approved by Land Rover, Jaguar, and Honda to name just a few, this was not cheap work, it was done by the best.
The car was also fully cleaned down underneath, and under sealed professionally, not only underneath but also in the wheel arches.

All panel gaps are correct, the flared wheel arches and bumpers are undamaged, and the pop up headlights work perfectly.
You don’t want to miss this one, a very special car indeed!

Interior & Trim

The interior is absolutely superb, carpets are unmarked, all seats are in fantastic condition, with no holes, or even worn bolsters.
The original radio is still present, nothing has been altered from standard on this car!

For a vehicle of this era, it has a great specification –
Air Con, Power Steering, Electric Windows, Sliding Sunroof, Central locking, Tilt steering wheel, Digital dash, Cruise control, and of course everything still works just as it should do.

It is very common for the digital dash in these cars to loose pixels, but this digital dash is working 100% correct.

Engine

The 2.8 straight 6 pulls great, its a silky smooth drive with no hesitations.
A very quiet engine indeed, with no smoking at all, and no untoward noises, it is just as it should be!

The engine (and the car for that matter) have clearly been very well looked after, and with a very recent cambelt change, you can rest assured that this engine is wanting for nothing.

In May 2013, the car benefitted from all oils and filter change, along with new spark plugs and a rotor arm. The alternator was also rebuilt, and a new battery fitted.

Running Gear

In many ways, the Celica Supra was ahead of the game, with rear disc brakes, and independent rear suspension which was designed and tuned by Lotus.
This classic Supra drives absolutely great, gearchange is smooth, the brakes are very good, the car performs exactly as it should do, with nothing needing to be done to the vehicle.

This is a classic which can be enjoyed, without the concern of reliability issues, thanks to the Japanese quality, which so many other countries could not match in this era..

The only thing this car needs, is the wheel could do with a re-lacquer.
