A great, numbered, limited edition Subaru Impreza, which is without doubt a future classic.

The Final Edition UK is arguably a sad car to exist….
It brings to an end nearly 25 years of heritage, & it closes the book on a Subaru that petrolheads love.
The Impreza WRX STI is a household name amongst car enthusiasts, one which likely brings thoughts & memories of early Impreza’s flying through the forests on the TV with Colin McRae at the wheel.

Or indeed memories of Impreza’s with loud exhausts doing laps of your local city centre late at night.
Whatever the memories may be, it is sad to know that the WRX STI is no more.

The Final Edition brings down the curtain.
As the name implies, the WRX STI Final Edition is the very last road-going offspring of a gold plated world rallying dynasty that first started back in 1994 with the Impreza Turbo.

The Final Edition was far from just a badging exercise, this was a run of only 150 UK cars which received a ‘facelift’ just for this small production run, sporting various upgrades over a standard Impreza STI. Standard specification on the Final Edition meant 19″ alloys wheels, six pot Brembo brake calipers (in highlighter yellow) with 340mm discs, electronic differential (DCCD), revised front bumper & led headlights, a larger infotainment system which includes a rear view camera & final edition badging, including the number placed on the centre console.

This one owner example would fit right into any collection, and could well prove to be a great long term investment.

Entirely original paintwork throughout (of course), this Final Edition still presents like new.

All original badges are still in place, all trims, lights & glass are in perfect condition.
Again, the wheels are the correct original wheels, with the original tyres. The highlighter yellow calipers look superb and are again, unmarked.

No modifications have been carried out, the car has been a cherished enthusiast owned car from new.

As you would expect, the interior is in superb condition throughout.

The original steering wheel and gear knob are in as new condition, as are the brilliant part leather and alcantara heated bucket seats.
The carpets are without any damage, and the original floor mats are in great condition.

No modifications have been carried out, it is exactly as Subaru intended, the dashboard & all trims are all superb & as new.
Everything works just as it should do.

With this being the Final Edition, it does also sport the larger infotainment screen now featuring a reversing camera & DAB radio.

The numbered centre console still has the protection film in place also.

As the pictures show, the engine bay itself present very well, still with the original wax in place through the engine bay.
Also benefitting from a fresh service which we have just carried out using genuine parts.

The engine/power stays the same for the Final Edition, with a 296bhp 2.5-litre flat-four engine, the 0-62mph sprint remains at 5.2 seconds with a manual gearbox.
A modern day drivers car, with great dynamics and the typical fantastic positive gear change we have all come to love.

Absolutely fantastic underside condition, as you would fully expect from such a low mileage example.

The biggest change to the Final Edition was to the four-wheel-drive system. The Driver’s Control Centre Differential – or DCCD – being completely electronic (before it was mechanical and electronic). You can adjust how aggressive you want the diff to be with a little rocker switch just by the gear lever.

The DCCD can distribute the STi’s torque faster with a 41 per cent/59 per cent front/rear split, too
