An absolutely fantastic car to drive!
Factory Hot Hatch special, designed to conquer all & set the fastest production front wheel drive lap record at the world famous Nurburgring.
Using the standard Megane 275 Trophy as a starting point, the ‘R’ strips out 100kg of weight by deleting the back seats (-20kg), air-con (-6kg), rear wiper (-1kg) and almost all the sound deadening (-21kg). It then adds comfier-than-they-look Recaro bucket seats (-22kg), 19-inch Speedline alloys (-5kg) and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
The Trophy R set the track alight with a time of just 7min 54sec in June 2014!

Renault and the Nurburgring have a long lasting relationship, Renault make some of the best front wheel drive chassis’s & are always keen to demonstrate that.
Previously the R26R set the front wheel drive production car record & this, the Mk3 Megane Trophy R then followed.
Exploiting lightweight over more power, Renault managed a blistering time of just 7min 54sec in June 2014 – that is still an extremely fast time 9 years later!
Having remained with the original owner, this Trophy R has been treated as a truly special car, with only 2,033 mile from new.
We have just completed a full check over & an all important cambelt service.
Body & Paintwork
Striking is likely the best way to describe the Trophy R, serious road presence!
Showing hints of the previous model – the R26R, the Trophy R looks fantastic with the red highlights/decals, wheels & brake calipers.
All of which are of course in original finish & superb condition.
All paintwork measures totally original, all lights & glass are like new & all badges are original & correct.
Wheels are unmarked & the original tyres are still fitted (we would advise these are changed if the car is to be used).
A truly stunning example of a truly stunning car.
Interior & Trim
The interior of the Trophy really is very special.
As soon as you get in, you know its something rather special.
The car is totally as it left the factory, no stereo, no air conditioning & absolutely gorgeous bucket seats.
Having test driven the car, these seats are amongst the best we have ever experienced.
Not only that, but condition wise they are without any faults & that is the same for the steering wheel as well.
Everything works just as it should do & the experience of the interior really does shout that it is something very special.
As can be seen from the pictures, the engine bay presents beautifully, still looking very fresh & proudly displaying factory markings.
Obviously the car starts & runs fantastically, with no delay in cold starting, no smoke, either on idle, on boost or on overrun.
The car accelerates well through the revs range without any hesitations & of course has no unwanted noises.
We have just given the car a cambelt change, along with an oil & filter change too.
A truly fantastic car to drive.
The underside of this Trophy R really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
A car which is unrestored, just very well preserved thanks to dry weather usage only.
The car drives very well indeed, just as you would expect.
