Body & Paintwork

Striking is likely the best way to describe the R26R.

Especially when optioned with the roll cage, sticker pack & red wheels.
The Red sticker pack & wheels contrast fantastically with the black paintwork, which itself is in superb original condition.

This R26R has benefitted from nearly £6,000.00 having been spent on a 5 day professional detail, along with superb high quality application of paint protection film across the car, even including the door shuts. This is a very wise decision as anybody who has had a black car previously will know, it is very easy to cause ‘marring’ or ‘swirls’ when cleaning a black car, so not only does the PPF protect the car from potential stone chips & such but also it keeps the black paintwork looking its absolute best.

All wheels are in great condition, all badges & decals still look fantastic & the original plastic windows, screens & lights all present very well.

An excellent example from top to bottom.

Interior & Trim

The interior of the R26R really is very special.

As soon as you get in, you know its something rather special.
The only non original item in here is the addition of the stereo, however the original stereo blanks are still with the car.

The Rollcage is unmarked & still an extremely vibrant red, it looks great & is certainly a talking point to all admirers.
Carbon fibre bucket seats…how often do you see that as a factory fit seat in a ”Hot Hatch”?!
Unlike many R26R’s the seats are in near perfect new condition, the buckles even have bubble wrap around them to save any marking on the mounting plates.

Everything works just as it should do & the experience of the interior really does shout that it is something very special.

Engine

As can be seen from the pictures, the engine bay presents beautifully, still looking very fresh & proudly displaying factory markings.

Obviously the car starts & runs fantastically, with no delay in cold starting, no smoke, either on idle, on boost or on overrun.
The car accelerates well through the revs range without any hesitations & of course has no unwanted noises.

In 2021 the car had a cambelt change & has not been used since other than our own test drives since purchasing the car & carrying out our checks within the workshop/preparation procedure.

A truly fantastic car to drive.

Running Gear

The underside of this R26R really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
A car which is unrestored, just very well preserved thanks to dry weather usage only.

The car drives very well indeed, just as you would expect.

The only addition to the car is two piece front brake discs.
