Here we are proud to offer an unmolested Renault Megane R26, with just 23,319 miles from new, and only two previous owners.
Renowned for the excellent chassis, and quirky design, the Renault Megane R26 was an instant hit, and continues to be highly sought after today.

Thanks to the fact that these cars have such a good chassis, and are easily modified/tuned, unmodified examples are becoming increasingly hard to find, with most examples having been tuned or turned in to track cars.

History

Within the history file are all the original booklets within the original Renault wallet.

Also present is the spare key card, and even the little note pad which came in the Renault booklet wallet.

The mileage is fully warranted through way of the MOT history, whilst the original and long term owner did self maintain the car through fear of the car being damaged by a dealer/garage, the booklet does show a cambelt and water pump change in 2016 and then most recently the car has undergone a full service at the very well respected specialist, Cooksport.
This did of course include a cambelt kit, aux belt kit, water pump and oil/filter change.

Body & Paintwork

Arguably one of the most quirky designs of modern times….. The ‘Megane 2’ certainly turned heads with the design of the rear end, and the fantastic ‘shaking that ass’ tv advert really pushed the envelope.

Having aged very well, these cars are fast becoming modern classics and collectors items.

This example still looks fantasic and the paintwork has a good gloss across the entire car, as you would expect from such a low mileage and low owner vehicle.

Other than a few very minor marks which you would relate to a car of this age the car presents absolutely beautifully.

All original decals and badges are still in place, which are all still nice and bright without the usual fading.
Again, the wheels are the correct original wheels, even the red Brembo brake calipers are in great order.

No modifications have been carried out, other than a change of tyres, so this example presents exactly as Renault intended.

Interior & Trim

As you would expect, the interior is in superb condition throughout.

The original steering wheel and gear knob are in great order with very minimal wear, as are the beautiful Alacantara Recaro Trendline seats.
The carpets are without any damage, and the floor mats are also still present.

No modifications have been carried out, so no nasty screw holes from extra gauges, the dashboard and all trims are all superb and as new.
Everything works just as it should do, and is exactly as Renault intended.

Ready to be enjoyed or added to a collection.

Engine

The engine runs perfectly as you would expect, and has just had a service carried out which included an all important cambelt and water pump change.
A cold start confirms that this is a nice quiet engine, with no unwanted noises either when cold or hot.

Likewise, on the road the car performs just as it should do, with a smooth power delivery throughout the rev range.
No smoking at all, either on start up, on boost or on overrun.
The car really is brilliant to drive.

The engine bay itself presents very well indeed, exactly as you would expect from a low mileage and cared for example.

Running Gear

All running gear is in very good order and this car is an absolute pleasure to drive.

All wheels are good with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres fitted.
When on the road, the braking performance is superb and straight, all discs and pads are in good order – and of course the original red Brembo brake calipers are without any of the usual lacquer peel.

The gearbox is a pleasure to operate, and even in todays world, this is an impressive car to drive with great driver feel and feedback.
