We are very pleased to offer this very rare 1997 R33 GTR Series 3 in KN6 Dark Pearl Grey.
The Series 3 R33 GTR is becoming increasingly sought after, with the list of differences over the earlier R33’s being quite vast, collectors are snapping up good examples of all variants, but particularly later Series 3 cars which are ever harder to find.

One of only 40qty Series 3 R33’s produced in ‘Dark Pearl Grey’ we expect this fantastic example to find a new home quickly.

History

Only 670 R33 GTR’s made in Dark Pearl Grey & only 40 series 3 R33 GTR’s made in this beautiful colour!
This is a very special & rare car!

This car has an extensive Japanese service history & has clearly been well cared for & loved.
The car itself has been in storage with ourselves since early 2021 in our storage facility. Whilst with us the car also had some work done to bring the car up a level in terms of condition.

This included some dry ice blasting of areas, some powder coating, caliper refurbishment, new tyres, new rear discs & pads, cavity waxing & some zinc plating of parts.

Body & Paintwork

Whilst a grey R33 GTR might sound a little ‘boring’, we can assure you, the KN6 Dark Pearl Grey looks absolutely superb in reality & you can see why this is such a sought after colour.

The colour really ‘pops’ in sunlight & as many visitors have agreed, it gives the car a ‘classy’ look.
The BBS wheels obviously help set the paint work off perfectly, as do the freshly refurbished brake calipers that are on display through the BBS wheels.

All glass is in good condition, as are the lights which can often be a downfall of a GTR.

Being a Series 3 it has the Xenon headlights as well as the N1 ducts in the front bumper & the deeper front lip spoiler, which gives the car a much more modern & aggressive look over earlier R33 models.

A very nicely presented example, finding an example like this is extremely difficult!

Interior & Trim

The interior is in very good condition, with this car still sporting its original red stitched seats which were only found in the later R33’s.
The carpets, Nissan floor mats, plastic trims & leather gaiters are all in good condition as you would hope.

The interior is original except for the speedometer which has been replaced with a Nismo 320km/h meter which has increased the speedometer from 180km/h to 320km/h & the RPM range from 10K to 11K red line. An important thing to note is that the conversion was documented & the total mileage is verified, the interior also benefits from a Nismo shift knob.

Engine

This iconic RB26 engine runs very nicely as you would fully expect.

In October 2020 the engine had a rebuild completed by RK Tuning using the following parts:
Nissan N1 oil pump
Nissan N1 water pump
ACL race bearings
Nissan piston rings
Hone and skim block
Valve stem seals
Oil restrictor
Oil/water modome blanking plate
Cosworth 1.5 head gasket

The car also benefits from some subtle performance upgrades which are:

Tomei cam gears
Tomei pon cams (step 1)
HKS intercooling piping
Nismo flywheel, clutch cover disk,
Nismo exhaust
Nismo sports cat
HPI alloy radiator
HPI oil cooler kit
Greddy air filters
HKS EVC-S boost controller ( 1 bar max)

The car drives great on the road with no hesitations through the rev range, the oil pressure is nice & healthy with water temperature always staying cool.

Running Gear

All running gear presents fantastic as can be seen in the photos.

Having had a light refresh by ourselves in 2022 the running gear is in great condition & has not done more than 50 miles since this was carried out.

The car benefitted from some light dry ice blasting, cavity wax application & clear wax protection.
Some of the running gear & bolts were vapour blasted & powder coated/zinc plated.

The calipers were restored along with new rear pads & discs, the brakes where also bled through of course.
We also fitted new OE rear ARB drop links & Michelin Pilot Sport tyres which have done no more than 50 miles since being fitted.

Benefitting from (almost new) Tein coilover suspension, along with a Tein strut brace & Cusco brake master cylinder stopper the car handles & stops very nicely.
