1990 Mk1 Toyota MR2

We are very proud to present another super low mileage Mk1 MR2.
The MR2 is somewhat of an icon, sometimes over looked due to the bigger siblings such as the Celica’s & Supra’s, but if you have ever had the pleasure of driving an MR2 then you will understand why they are so highly regarded & why they are becoming ever more sought after.

This car is ready to join any collection, or indeed to be enjoyed out on the roads if desired.

Purchased by the original owner from Toyota Garage – Wrights Garage in Northern Ireland.
First registered in February 1990, the car remained with the original owner until September 1995.
The car remained with the original owner from 1995 until 2006, and the car has remained in the same ownership since 2006 until present.

Having lived a cosseted life with enthusiast owners, it is clear to see it has been loved from day one.

All original booklets are with the car, along with the correct original wallet, a Toyota cassette, an MR2 brochure & a Toyota model range brochure, an MR2 baseball cap & of course the spare key which also has the serial number tag.
Both keys still sport the supplying dealer keyring.

In August of this year the car had a cambelt service carried out.
The original Continental tyres are still fitted (we would of course advise these are changed if the buyer intends to use the car, but they remain fitted currently for originality/display purposes).

As of course you would expect from such a low mileage car, the bodywork is absolutely as fantastic throughout.

We have checked all panels with a paint depth gauge, & can confirm all paintwork is original, including the wheels.
The spare wheel still retains the original Continental Sport Contact tyre.

All trims, badges, decals & glass are in absolutely great original condition.

MR2’s can be known for corrosion issues, let us assure you that is not the case with this example, it is superb!
A beautiful example all round, which we feel would be extremely hard to repeat.

A few small marks on the wheels do not detract from the car & help show the honesty of this example & the originality.

As per the rest of the car, this interior is simply like stepping back in time.

The fabric seats which are extremely comfortable, the trims, pedal rubbers, steering wheel, gear knob, switch gear, sunroof cover, dashboard, door cards, are all in stunning order.
Everything operates exactly as it should do.

The ergonomics of the Mk1 MR2 just feel so right, a fantastic place to be & a great car to drive.

The fantastic little 1.6 16v DOHC engine bursts in to life without any hesitations.

We have of course test driven the car, it drives brilliantly just as an MR2 should, we have had a few low mileage Mk1 MR2’s, this the second lowest mileage we have come across & the low mileage really shows when driving the car, it feels tight & as you expect it would have when new.

The engine makes no unwanted taps or noises, it performs well & presents well too of course.
A real one of a kind car.

All running gear is in splendid original order, even the original paper labels are still in place underneath.

The clutch & gearbox are a pleasure to operate & the car drives very well indeed.
