The 3000GT created a stir on release, it was a complex car of its time & is mostly known for being complex, ahead of its time & expensive.
Featuring a transversely mounted, front-mid-engine’d twin-turbo V6, anti-lock brakes, all-wheel drive, adaptive dampers, all-wheel steering & active aero.
Now becoming iconic in its own right, these under-rated cars have always sat in the shadow of the competition, but with it becoming exceedingly rare to find a good & low mileage example, they are hot property.
This example is ready to proudly sit amongst any collection.
History
This UK 3000GT Twin Turbo was first registered to Mitchell Mitsubishi on the 10th of August 1997 & then sold to the only other owner on the 31st of March 1998.
So same lady owner for almost 24 years & V5 obviously states 1 previous owner only.
The car has original booklets in original Mitsubishi wallet.
3 qty original keys present.
Old style V5 also still within the paperwork, as well as current V5.

Body & Paintwork
This being a later facelift car, the appearance is somewhat improved over the earlier version & most notable is the projector style headlamps rather than the pop up lights.
As you would expect, the paintwork on this example looks superb, having been freshly detailed.
All metal panels have been checked with a paint depth gauge & we can confirm that all panels are original & in original paint.
All trims are in great condition, the badges & lights are all in great condition……. the car looks stunning.
A very nice example, of what is now a very sought after and rare car.
Interior & Trim
As per the rest of the car, this example has a superb condition interior.
All leather is in great condition throughout, and whilst the original gearknob was very good it did have a bit of a ‘shine’ to it, so a genuine item was ordered from Japan which now finishes the interior off beautifully.
Original mats are still in place, zero modifications have ever been carried out to this car, so no screwed in gauges or such like.
Everything works just as it should do, all switchgear presents well, & all carpets are without any damage.
On the move the cabin is a very comfortable place to be & the dashboard being driver facing really gives it a great feel.
Certainly a car you feel would be great for long distance touring.
Engine
The UK cars were only sold with the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 engine & fitted with either a 5 speed (pre facelift) or a six-speed (facelift) manual transmission.
This being the Facelift variant, it benefits from the later 6 speed transmission & also more power from the 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo engine, with the facelift having a claimed 282bhp over the claimed 276bhp for the pre facelift.
This example drives very well, it has no unwanted noises, no smoking & performs very well through the entire rev range with no hesitations.
The engine bay itself presents well as can be seen in the pictures.
A car which has had regular maintenance, having clearly been loved by its very long term owner.
Running Gear
All running gear is in fantastic order throughout – driving exactly as it should do.
Brakes are superb standard items & and have no judder at all.
All suspension is without fault, the clutch & gearbox operate really nicely.
The wheels are in unmarked original condition, with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.
An absolute joy to drive.
