Designed and produced to be a hugely capable hot hatch/track car it is an extremely difficult car to find in this ‘collectors condition’ and as they are such a fantastic drivers car, you can rest assured many examples have had a hard life and have been used as fantastic track cars, meaning examples like this will only become harder to find.

History

Registered new on the 30th of November 2012, this Mini JCW GP was originally purchased via Hailwell Jones Ltd main dealer as a gift for the gentleman’s wife.
Sadly she felt the car was too ‘raw’ and as such did not use the car, and the car was subsequently sold on to the second owner in July 2013.

In August 2014 the car was offered for sale due to the imminent arrival of a baby, and this is where the third owner acquired the vehicle, becoming part of a very large and high quality car collection, all kept within a heated indoor environment – here it has remained for over four years with just the odd trip out for MOT’s and Servicing.

With the car is the original wallet, containing original booklets and the spare key, plus MOT certificates and what appears to be some original shipping paperwork.

Upon sale we will have a full service carried out by the local main dealer, to maintain the dealer service history.

Servicing:
2015 – 1,486 miles
2016 – 1,955
2020 – Full Main Dealer Service upon sale.

MOT’s:
2016 – 1,962 miles
2017 – 1,972
2018 – 1,974
2020 – Full MOT will be added upon sale.

Body & Paintwork

As can be seen in the pictures and also in the walkaround video, the car is totally original and this includes the paintwork.

Not only is the paintowrk original on the bodywork, but across the whole car – including the wheels which have never been refurbished and also the brake calipers which are in great original condition.

Of course the bodywork is without any damage, no dents or scratches at all.
All original decals are still in place and look as new, the GP spoiler and rear diffuser are also in unmarked condition and they really do give the GP road presence as well as being reported to reduce lift by 90%.

All glass and badges are original, and again, without any damage.
A beautiful example exactly as you would expect.

Interior & Trim

Of course, as with the rest of the car, the interior is in superb order.

Zero modifications have been carried out, with all original dials and switches working perfectly.
The beautiful Recaro seats are in great condition with no signs of wear.

Correct original floormats are still in place, and again without signs of wear – much like the pedals, steering wheel and gear knob as you would expect with the very low mileage.

The sill plates which have ‘GP 1 of 2000’ badging are unmarked, none of the usual scratches from people catching them whilst entering or exiting the cockpit.

Of course being the GP model it has no rear seats, instead a large red rear strut brace takes place and that is of course unmarked.

Engine

What a cracking little engine – anybody looking for one of these cars will know they are an extremely capable machine they are.

215bhp may not sound like a large amount of power, but in such a package it really is superb to drive.
These engine are tuneable and as such many examples have been modified, meaning original examples are becoming rarer.

This example runs very quietly even from a cold start, and of course does not smoke either on start up, whilst on boost or on over run. No hesitations are felt whilst driving, the car performs just as it should do.

Gear changes are beautiful, and of course with such low mileage the clutch operates perfectly.

The engine bay itself is again – in as new condition with no changes at all.

Running Gear

As already mentioned, the underside of this car is in fantastic condition, with no corrosion and all running gear looks as new.

The correct original suspension is still in place and without the common ‘knocking’ issue.
Often the original ride height is adjusted, but this example is still the correct and original ride height.

All brakes are as new, and the large six piston front brake calipers look absolutely fantastic behind the original wheels.
Speaking of original wheels, the car still wears the specific Kumho Ecsta tyres which the GP left the factory with, and all four have very little wear.

A truly fantastic example.
