Within the history file are various invoice, some dating all the way back to 1987, but mostly showing the expenditure on the car over the last couple of years whilst the car has been brought up to a truly fantastic standard throughout.

Thousands have been spent on new old stock parts, as well as having parts refurbished/rebuilt.

Service history:
1987 – 1,425 miles
87 – 7,405
88 – 13,575
89 – 28,000
90 – 34,996
91 – 38,650
91 – 43,276
92 – 47,370
94 – 50,830
00 – 53,864

Dry stored 2000 until 2016, only coming out twice for MOT’s within that period.
In 2016 the car was removed from storage when it was recommissioned & sold via auction.

Since being rebuilt, the car has covered only around 25 miles, we will be adding a few miles ourselves & checking the car over fully within our workshop after some more ‘running in miles’.

Body & Paintwork

Arguably the most iconic rear spoiler ever produced.

The Sierra RS Cosworth took the world by storm, quite literally.
The iconic styling of the Sierra RS Cosworth is instantly recognisable.

Moonstone Blue Paintwork on this example looks great, a deep gloss across the entire car & it has clearly been painted very nicely.
All panels are original with discreet date stampings and seam welds.

Again, the car benefits from various very hard to source & very expensive new old stock parts, such as lights, grills and so on.
All trims are in good order & the bodykit fits well without the usual ‘wavy’ trims.

A real head turner for all the right reasons!

Interior & Trim

The interior of this RS Cosworth is in really nice condition.

All the important areas have been addressed, so we have good door cards, likewise we have a totally uncracked & straight dashboard.

The Recaro seats, door cards and headlining are spotless are all in really nice condition, none of the usual sagging headlining here.
The seat bolsters are all firm & in the correct shape

Steering wheels & gear knobs are usually very ‘shiny’ on the Cosworth’s, but that is not the case here. New old stock items have been fitted & look superb.
Everything works just as it should do, including the LCD display to warn of bulb failure & doors open, plus the stereo/amplifier.

Aswell as presenting so well, the interior smells correct for a Cosworth, anybody familiar with a Cosworth will know exactly what we mean.

Engine

The YB engine used in the Cosworth’s needs no introduction.

The quoted figures at the time of 204bhp, 149mph & 0-60 in just 6.2 seconds must of sounded truly ridiculous upon release.
As can be seen from the pictures, this examples has a very nicely presented engine bay, with almost all parts have been either fully refreshed/rebuilt or replaced with new old stock items.

The engine itself has been rebuilt, although only an invoice for the gearbox rebuild is present, however receipts in the file show engine parts purchased & the engine is on a ‘running in’ filter & was recently checked over upon commissioning of the car by Graham Goode.

A very nice & quiet YB engine, which operates just as it should do.

Running Gear

As the underside pictures suggest, the underside of this car is in beautiful order.

No stone has been left unturned & the underside present’s just as well as the top side does.
Any inspection is welcome.

The car is still in need of ‘running in’ but we can confirm the car drives very well.
