We are very pleased to be offering this Ford Escort RS Cosworth for sale, having previously sold this car a number of years ago, we have it back in our showroom once again.

This vehicle is in very nice condition throughout, having previously had an underside refresh & still presenting very well.

If you are in the market for a Ford Escort RS Cosworth, then you will already know that cars of this condition, at this price level are almost non-existent.

A lovely & comprehensive history file compliment this Escort Cosworth perfectly.

All original booklets are present, in the correct Ford Leather Wallet, along with the supplying dealer sleeve.
Also worth noting that the supplying dealer tax disc holder is present within the file, along with supplying dealer window sticker.

The History file contains a multitude of receipts for various genuine Ford items, such as screws, brackets, gaskets etc etc for the period that a previous owner decided to really g’go to town’ on giving this example a freshen up.

(Pictures of the underside are shown within the advert). The vast array of parts & money spent is far too much to detail here, but whilst it was apart, the Turbo unit was reconditioned, a new clutch fitted, along with all new belts, filters, fluids etc etc.

We have also just carried out a cambelt service within our workshop, so the car is good to go.

It is absolutely clear that the car was done to an extremely high standard, with no stone left unturned.

On top of the comprehensive service history, a large amount of MOT’s are also present which warrant the very low mileage perfectly.

Auralis blue, a somewhat rare colour that looks absolutely brilliant.

The paintwork has a nice shine across all panels with no signs of corrosion on the car at all, as you would expect from a car of this quality.
Only a handful of imperfections are present, namely a couple of small marks to the splitter & age related imperfections.

The car presents very nicely indeed.

All original lights are in good condition, no cracks, or scratches.
The lower stone guard/splitter is again in very nice condition.

All glass is free of any damage & the sunroof is free of any deterioration.

A very well presenting car, with great shine & very few tiny age related marks only.

As can be seen in the pictures, the interior is in fantastic condition throughout.

The Raven leather upholstery still looks very fresh & retains its original smell. Even the drivers bolster is without any real signs of wear/damage.
Rear seats almost appear as though they have not been used.

All switchgear works exactly as it should do, air conditioning is ice cold & the three extra Cosworth gauges all work perfectly.
Dial illumination is perfect, all heaters work correctly & all switchgear illuminates correctly – no fusebox issues here.

The original stereo is still present & again works exactly as it should do.
Original gear knob & steering wheel are in fine condition also.

Not only is everything working as it should, but everything inside this car still presents extremely well, & shows the care & love this example has been given over the years.

Chances are if you are reading this advert, you know & understand the YB engine itself, so you don’t need us to talk you through the in’s & out’s…..

This particular YB is a peach, lovely & quiet on cold start & remaining nice & quiet once warm also.
Having had various new parts fitted when the car was ‘refreshed’ & made to present very nicely, it runs perfectly.

No hunting idle, no smoking either on idle, on boost or indeed on over-run.

The car pulls smoothly & without hesitations through the rev range, still giving strong performance even today.

No modifications have been made, so the engine/power are exactly as Ford intended.
Even the original Ford exhaust system is in place.

This is where this car had the majority of time spent upon the refresh it had a number of years ago, we have many pictures of the underside condition so please feel free to ask for further pictures. The quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail which have been lavished on this car at the time, are fantastic!

As previously stated, we have a folder with a multitude of various receipts for genuine Ford items.

All suspension is original Ford equipment, performing faultlessly, & presenting perfectly even after having had usage over the last number of years.
Again, this is the case for the braking system, with all calipers having been rebuilt.

The clutch was also renewed whilst the car was being refreshed & the the gearbox is very nice to use, nice direct gear changes with no problems either on changing up or down.
All wheels are in great condition, and are all wearing good quality tyres with lots of tread remaining.
