The Mk3 Focus RS is a great drivers car & has steadily been increasing in value.
Potentially the last internal combustion Ford RS, as any replacement looks very likely to be hybrid if they make another at all which could make this a great investment, or indeed an almost new & fantastic drivers car to be enjoyed.

History

When Ford UK announced that production of the RS Focus was coming to an end, they decided to produce three limited edition models.
The RS Edition, RS Red Edition and the RS Heritage Edition, these have become instant modern classics.

Only 300 examples of the RS Red Edition were ever produced.
Visual differences over the standard Mk3 Focus RS were the Race Red paintwork, gloss black roof, mirrors & rear spoiler as well as grey-finish brake callipers.
Mechanically the RS Red Edition was fitted with a Quaife mechanical limited-slip differential which makes a substantial difference to front end grip & driving experience.

This example has had only 2 previous owners, it has full Ford service history (detailed below), it also has all booklets & of course 2qty keys.

Service history:
2018 – 7 Miles PDI
19 – 8
20 – 209
21 – 381
22 – 475

MOT history:
21 – 381
22 – 475
23 – to be carried out upon sale

A stunning example which has all the original delivery tags/stickers/seat bags/chocks etc in the boot.

Body & Paintwork

The bodywork of this example is exactly as you would expect – simply superb.

We have checked all panels with a paint depth gauge, & can confirm all paintwork is original, including the wheels.
Being a RS Red Edition, this example sports the gloss black roof, spoiler & mirrors which are a brilliant contrast against the Race Red paintwork.

All badges, lights, & windows are in perfect order, just as you would expect. The front windows have had a light tint applied – we can have this removed is desired.
The factory optional Black forged 19in alloy wheels are of course unmarked, still sporting original tyres.

A beautiful example all round.

Interior & Trim

As per the rest of the car, this interior is simply as new.

The Recaro ‘Shell’ seats are in perfect order, looking superb in part leather & Alacantara with the blue stitching.

The infotainment screen still has the protective film in place & the seats still have the original protection covers in place, including the rear head rests.

All switchgear is unmarked, likewise the steering wheel, gear knob, handbrake & foot pedals are like new.
Everything operates exactly as it should do & the carbon trims look great in the Red Edition.

Aftermarket floor mats were fitted from new & the original unused mats are in the original bag in the boot.

Engine

The 2016 RS created a stir by going back to a 4 cylinder engine (as opposed to the 5 cylinder found in the Mk2).
The new 2.3 litre, 4 cylinder Ecobooost engine is smaller, lighter & more efficient than the 5 cylinder unit.

It offers better fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions &, in standard trim, more power & torque (345 bhp and 470NM).
0-60mph in 4.7 seconds is certainly very impressive, especially in a manual transmission car & a top speed of 165mph!

As the pictures show, this example is totally as new throughout, including the engine bay area.
The only change is a blue ‘RS’ badge fitted on to the airbox which the owner felt made the ‘RS’ stand out more & we agree & a K&N kilter has been fitted purely for the aesthetics as the filter is seen. (Original paper filter is with the car).

Running Gear

All running gear is exactly as you would expect of such a low mileage car.
Factory optional Black forged 19in alloy wheels were a £975 upgrade & are of course unmarked, still sporting original tyres.

The car has genuinely not seen rain & is stunning underneath.
