‘They do not make them like this anymore’
History
This outstanding example was imported in March 2020, & has been tucked away since then.
With the car spending most of its life in Japan, the underside is in superb & original order.
When imported the car was graded a very high grading of 4.5B, and it is clear to see why.
Upon purchase of the car ourselves, we have carried out a cam belt & water pump service, including all fresh fluids, geometry setup by Evo experts ‘Automotive Performance Tuning (APT), new Micheling Pilot Sport 4 tyres and new wheel centre caps.
Freshly serviced, & freshly detailed, this example is ready to be enjoyed.
Body & Paintwork
The white paintwork on this Evo VI is in great order, as you would expect for a car such low mileage.
We have just carried out a two stage paint enhancement machine polish & the car looks beautiful!
Zero corrosion on the vehicle, & zero dents or dings.
This car has clearly been cherished throughout its life, & also kept away from any bad weather.
All badges and decals are original, as are all the lights, including the unmarked fog lights.
All glass is original, & again is superb condition, with no damage.
The spoiler is without any cracking around the base (this can be a common issue on these vehicles), & the sideskirts/front splitter are without any damage either.
The black door window surrounds are still a nice solid black & have not faded as is often the case.
Incredibly all bumper fixings are still gold, the zinc plating still being present which is almost unheard of on a original Evo VI.
A stunning example without any modifications.
Interior & Trim
What can we say….
The seats are literally unmarked, steering wheel & gear knob unmarked.
The carpets, and kickplates are all unmarked, the rear seats look as if they have never carried a passenger and are without the usual ‘faded tops’.
Anybody who is familiar with these vehicles will appreciate how easily the interiors wear, and will appreciate just how rare it is to find an example like this.
All gauges work just as they should do, the dash has never had any extra gauges fitted and is in perfect order, the door cards are are all good, as is all the glass.
The only change is the catalogue ‘carbon effect trims’ which were a common addition when new, particularly so in Japan.
Engine
Completely as Mitsubishi intended…..
Zero modifications have been made to the engine/power of this example.
Runs perfectly, no tapping when cold (or hot), and the car drives very nicely with a lovely progressive power delivery through the rev range.
Absolutely no smoking, either on idle, on boost or on over run.
The engine bay itself present very well, and the car has just benefited from a cambelt & water pump service so wants for nothing.
To see an Evo VI engine bay this original, and in this condition is almost un heard of now.
Running Gear
The underside of this car is in fantastic & original condition, it is unrestored and without any corrosion issues.
Having spent its life in Japan (with little use) and then having not been used since coming in to the UK, the underside is as you would expect – brilliant.
All original suspension, brakes, running gear is in place and all presents well, and of course the car drives superbly.
