History

We originally purchased this vehicle in 2019, after having viewed a number of C5 RS6’s but not finding one which was suitable for our standards.
The car left us to head to its new home in September 2019 and after being offered the car back very recently, we just had to have it again.

Great service history, great MOT history, original booklets/keys and great condition help set this example apart.
We had the car serviced in September 2019 as part of our sales prep, including cambelt & water pump change, with a gearbox oil change too.

Audi paperwork is present within the file showing that the troublesome DRC suspension was replaced in 2009 under Audi Warranty.

A recent minor service has also been carried out only 6 months (100 miles) ago , and the car is ready to be enjoyed.

Body & Paintwork

Arguably the best colour for the C5 Saloon.

This example still presents very well, and if you were to look around the vehicle, you would be surprised to find it has done 54k miles, as it presents more like a much lower mileage example.

The paint is vibrant and without any corrosion of course, some very minor marks are present, which are only what you would expect from a car of this age
All glass appears to be original, as do the badges (with the addition of the Oettinger badge) and trims.

No bodywork changes/modifications have been carried out so the car is as Audi intended.
The solar panel sunroof is without damage and works just as it should do.

Interior & Trim

As you would expect, the interior is in very good condition throughout.

The Audi navigation unit has been upgraded to the later RNS-E unit and is without signs of wear.
All seats are in great condition without any rips or tears and bolsters are very good as can be seen.

The factory fitted black alacantara headlining and pillar trims are all still in great condition and without sagging.

All switches and controls work just as they should do, and in great order.
Anybody familiar with these cars will know that the coating on the switchgear can become sticky and wear off, that is not the case on this example.

The carpets and mats are all very good, the dashboard and all trims are also in fantastic order.

A great car to be in, with great comfort, and surprisingly high specification for a car of this age.
The Bose sounds great, the cruise control works as it should, as does the solar panel sunroof.
A car you would happily travel long distance in without comfort issues.

Engine

The heart of the RS6 – the 4.2L ‘BiTurbo’ V8.

Power figures of 444bhp and 413lb ft of torque.
A great noise, along with a great driving experience.

On the road you would certainly say it feels like more than 444bhp and is a remarkably capable car which is as happy cruising along on cruise control, as it is putting a big grin on your face upsetting unsuspecting of ‘quick cars’.

One might imagine that the fact these cars were a 5 speed auto/tiptronic transmission only would take away from the experience, but the 5 speed auto is very well matched to the car.
A great maintenance history is with the car, and clearly shows that the car has been cherished.

A major service including cambelt and water pump was completed in 2019 (only 1,000 miles ago) and a minor service carried out in April 2021.
The car is ready to be enjoyed.

Running Gear

All running gear is in very good order and this car is an absolute pleasure to drive.

All wheels are recently refurbished and sport Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.
When on the road, the braking performance is superb and straight, all discs and pads are in good order – steering is direct and the gearbox is operates just as it should do.
