The GTS 1000 may not be the most sought after bike of the era, but whilst for many years it was overlooked, they are not only a great bike to ride, they are also starting to gain traction with collectors as a somewhat iconic bike of the era which are now very hard to find in collectors grade condition such as this one.

The forkless Yamaha GTS 1000….. Yamaha executed the ‘RADD’ front end concept extremely well on the GTS1000.

Not only did it look excellent, but it also performed very well indeed.
Some magazines were far too quick to ridicule the concept, even before having ridden one, but after riding a GTS 1000 it seems the motoring press had only good things to say about the design & execution of the forkless front end.

The cost of manufacture was inevitably quite high, which meant for a high sale price in the showroom, which coupled with inaccurate early opinions on the front end meant for slow sales.

Now trying to find an excellent low mileage, original example is becoming very hard to find.

Within the history file of this GTS1000 is the original bill of sale, a couple of MOT’s, the booklets & the spare key.

This bikes presents exactly as you would hope, superb from top to bottom.

The paintwork has been machine polished, as anybody knows dark colours can be hard to look after but this presents lovely.
All areas of bodywork are in immaculate condition.

Again the screen, mudguard, swingarm, front wheel, calliper’s are all in good order – the bike really does ‘pop’ in the flesh with the metallic blue paintwork.
No damage, never been dropped or repaired, this is a true collectors grade example.

All trims are in superb condition.

As you would expect with such low miles, the bike runs beautifully & the engine is very quiet.

We have currently drained the fuel from the bike & removed the battery, predicting that the bike will likely go into a collection with such low miles, obviously we can easily & quickly have the bike up & running should a buyer choose so.

Aesthetically the engine is free of any damage & presents exactly as it should do.

As can be seen in the pictures, all running gear is in superb order, you could argue the bikes looks like it has never been ridden at all!
Still sporting the original tyres (we would of course recommend these are changed should a buyer choose to ride the bike).
