History

Accompanying this P1 is a fantastic history file.

As can be seen below, the mileage is fully warranted by way of MOT certificates & the fully stamped service booklet.
Also within the file is an original P1 brochure/poster, various bits of P1 memorabilia, and Subaru brochures, spare key with correct alarm fob, and the original invoice & options price list (faded but still readable).

Also a receipt for the options being ordered by the original owner.

This P1 remained with the original owner until 2018, when it was purchased by the only other owner of this vehicle. V5 correctly states only 1 previous owner.
Upon purchase of the vehicle, the second owner had a full service carried out along with a dyno run (280bhp) to be sure the car was 100% healthy.
In 2020 we carried out a full underside & engine bay refresh at the request of the customer, to original specification – no modifications, no welding, chassis remains in original unpainted condition.

Body & Paintwork

Having recently had a bodywork detail, the car presents very well – plus it has just received XPel PPF application to various areas of the car, including the full front end.
All glass is in good order, without any of the usual bad scratching to the door windows & likewise all badges & lights are in very good condition.

Correct original P1 rear spoiler & P1 stamped rear silencer are still in place.

Unmarked original optional 18″ alloy wheels, having had a recent refurbishment.
Correct P1 stamped exhaust still in place.

Without a doubt one of the best examples around & ready to hit the shows.

Interior & Trim

Again, the interior of this P1 is in great condition.

Everything works just as it should do, with all switch gear being in great condition.
The seats are the optional upgraded electric Recaro’s which are highly sought after, especially in this stunning condition with no rips or tears & simply no bolster wear.

Again, the original steering wheel, gearknob, handbrake handle & pedal rubbers are all in very good condition, just a few marks on the steering wheel as can be seen in the pictures.
None of the usual scratching to the centre console area.

A very pleasant place to be & a fantastic car to drive.

Engine

Having been a cherished example its entire life, this P1 runs perfectly & wants for nothing.

The car starts from cold perfectly & idles nice & quietly.
No smoking, either on start up, on boost or on over run.

Once warm the car offers fantastic performance, with a smooth power delivery throughout the rev range.
With performance figures that are still very respectable today, the P1 is a fantastic car to drive & it is easy to appreciate why they are fast becoming a very sought after modern classic.

In 2018 the car was ran on a dyno just to check healthiness & it achieved 280bhp, a very healthy figure for an unmodified example indeed.

The engine bay itself present extremely well, as can be seen from the pictures – having had an engine bay refresh by ourselves.
This P1 wants for nothing & is ready to be enjoyed.

Running Gear

As with the rest of this car, the running gear is all in superb order having had an underside refresh by ourselves.

The original finish of the chassis/floorpans themselves are original, just cleaned & then protected with clear wax (zero welding or rust repairs).
All running gear was removed, cleaned, powder coated/zinc plated.

All new genuine bushes/drop links/balljoints etc were fitted.
Brand new dampers & springs were also fitted.

The underside presents as well as the rest of the car, with a no expense spared approach taken.

When the P1 was originally released the only point which fell short in reviews was the brakes, so a Prodrive Alcon fronbt brake upgrade became an available option.
These brakes perform extremely well, very effective & pull nice & straight.

The handling is very impressive, even when compared to modern hot hatches.

A thrilling car to drive & in show ready condition.
