The Mini JCW Challenge (the name challenge being a homage to the Mini Challenge race series) has flown a little under the radar for many, but those who are enthusiasts of driver focused hot hatches have always known that the JCW Challenge is without doubt a sweet spot in the hot hatch sector.

On top of being a John Cooper Works specification car, the Challenge Edition has Nitron suspension, upgraded brakes, Michelin Cup 2 tyres wrapped around lightweight alloy wheels, a JCW pro exhaust system with a Bluetooth activated vale (sounds superb), along with numbered badging (this being #41 of 53). This is all finished off with the White Silver colour & a bespoke black graphics package.

Being a numbered, super rare limited edition, these cars have all the makings of being a great collectible vehicle…. An investment you can very much enjoy maybe?

With the car is the original wallet, containing original booklets & the spare key, plus MOT certificates & the Nitron suspension adjustment tool.

Finished in the challenge edition White Silver, this example looks great.

All glass, badges & trims are all original & are of course in good order.
The rear glass is factory tinted, as was standard on the Challenge Edition.

Correct original 17” OZ Racing lightweight wheels are still fitted, with correct Michelin Cup 2 tyres. The original carbon tipped exhaust is also still fitted of course, which looks fantastic & sounds even better!

The inside of the car presents very well as you would expect of such a low mileage example.

The original steering wheel & gear knob are in great order with very minimal wear, the carpets are without any damage & the original floor mats are also still present.

Everything works just as it should do, including the ‘track only’ exhaust remote switch, which makes the Challenge Edition sound pretty ‘insane’.

Of course this example has the much talked about ‘Maximum Go Kart mode’ too.

Ready to be enjoyed or added to a collection.

The cracking little 2.0L Turbo charged engine is in unmodified condition.

Of course the car does not smoke either on start-up, whilst on boost or on over run.

No hesitations are felt whilst driving, the car performs just as it should do.
Gear changes are beautiful & the clutch operates perfectly.
The engine bay itself is again in great condition as can be seen.

All running gear is in good order as you would expect & the car drives very well indeed.
