The TT100 Evoblade was the ultimate incarnation of the Fireblade, built to dominate with pretty much every single aspect of it built using only the highest quality parts possible.
An extremely serious piece of kit, especially for the time as it is still a fast & capable even today.

History

In 1998 Jim Moodie rode a Fireblade to victory achieving Honda’s 100th Isle of Man TT win.

Knowing that the Yamaha R1 was going to be difficult to beat in 1999, Honda GB commissioned RS Performance to build a race evolution of the stock Fireblade, in the hopes that it would continue their winning streak. The outcome was the “no expense spared” TT100 Evo Blade.

Originally planned to be 250qty units built for homologation, the production actually stopped at 24qty bikes after Yamaha (the main competitor for the 1999 IOM TT) found out about the programme & ‘called the whistle’.

Although only 24qty were produced, the original owner of this bike ordered it on the spot at the unveil/exhibition show, requesting he would order the bike but only on the basis it would be #100 to fall in line with the 100qty TT wins & the name of the bike ‘TT100’, this condition was agreed upon prior to the production being cut short at 24qty & hence is #100.

With this bike is the original purchase invoice, pictures of the original owner taking delivery, certificate of authenticity, all manuals, spare key, copy of original V5, current V5, various MOT certificates, pictures of the bike on display at various shows & of course it comes with all the original spares that it came with new, including the TT100 jacket.

Body & Paintwork

This bikes presents exactly as you would hope, superb from top to bottom.

The paintwork has been machine polished, no modifications have been carried out, the bike is as it came.

The Evoblade bodywork is unique & impossible to find now for any chance of building even a replica, also fitted to these bikes is a ‘Ram’ carbon rear hugger.
Of course, the ‘road’ tail unit bodywork is with the bike, along with the ‘road’ silencer, ‘road’ rear spring & all other parts that came with the TT100 Evoblade.
All areas of bodywork are in immaculate condition, save for some light gravel rash at the very bottom of the fairings.

The Evoblade came equipped with a Honda branded stack digital instrument console, which works perfectly & looks excellent – very race bike.
Even the foam filled fuel tank is as it should be.

Again the screen, mudguard, swingarm, wheels, caliper’s are all in good order – the bike really does look incredible in the flesh.
No damage, never been dropped or repaired, this is a true collectors grade example.

Interior & Trim

All trims/switchgears are in superb condition.

Engine

The engine on the Evoblade was somewhat of a masterpiece, starting out as a standard unit, crank cases were modified, new pistons & rods, blueprinted with balanced bottom ends, a ported & gas flowed head with high lift cams was also fitted.

41mm Keihin flat slide carbs took care of fuel supply with a special fuel pump & ram air fed carbon airbox.
The exhaust is a titanium 4 into 2 into 1 system with a Micron race can.
The gearbox is a HRC close ratio strengthened gearbox with quickshift.

All of this makes for a very fast bike, even by todays standards.
As you would imagine, this example runs beautifully even from cold. It rides very very well indeed.

Running Gear

As well as the engine, bodywork & ignition, the Evoblade went all out on running gear too.

Ohlins USD front forks, Ohlins rear shock & Ohlins steering damper ere fitted, along with Dymag wheels with a Ram single sided swing arm.
To finish they used Brembo brakes.

All running gear is in fantastic condition as can be seen from the pictures.
