Genuine date stamped Ford ‘X’ Pack wheels.
Perfect interior.

History
Only 6 previous owners, who have obviously loved this example and cared for it very well.
This car has won various shows, and we have pictures of the cabinet full of Trophies (Previous owner has kept the trophies).
A photo album is present which shows the car from start to finish throughout its comprehensive strip and rebuild.
Lots of receipts are within the history file, including many parts purchased throughout the rebuild.
Original booklets (very rare) are also present and with the vehicle history file.
Body & Paintwork
Correct type 49 shell, which underwent a full repaint from 1998 to 2000 by an Aston Martin panel beater.
The shell is simply in stunning condition, with an amazing finish in the original Le Mans green colour.
Steel ‘bubble arches’ were fitted during the full strip and rebuild of the car.
A photo diary of the strip down and rebuild is present within the history file, and it is clear to see that the work has been carried out to an extremely high standard.
All correct strengthening plates are in place, as is the AVO plaque, and rear stone guard.
The car has had no welding other than the transmission tunnel, and was in absolutely superb shape prior to the strip and rebuild.
As you can see, the underside of the car is as good as the top, the finish is that perfect that the underside is even waxed at the same time as the bodywork!
These cars simply do not become available in this condition.
Interior & Trim
The interior of the Mexico is second to none.
The original seats are in fantastic condition, no signs of wear at all, and these seats have not been re-trimmed.
Doorcards, again, are without any damage.
The ‘Woodpack’ dash is the correct 6 dial display of course, and the dash has not been cut/modified.
Headlining is perfect, no sagging or rips.
The interior is quite simply stunning.
Engine
Original 1600cc engine is fitted, which has been fully rebuilt with a photo diary.
Bored to 1700cc, with all engine components having been lightened and balanced.
The responsiveness from this unit is fantastic.
A custom stainless exhaust manifold and exhaust system not only look fantastic, but give this Mexico a fantastic noise.
As you would expect, the engine is without fault, and pulls this car along perfectly.
Running Gear
As you would expect from a car of this standard, the running gear is absolutely superb.
Genuine date stamped Ford ‘X Pack’ wheels are perfect and unmarked, all with premium tyres fitted.
Type 9, 5 Speed gearbox is fitted which has been fully rebuilt, and engages all gears perfectly, feeling very nice and ‘tight’
All brakes are new, and stop the car superbly, Bilstein dampers and s full polybush kit have been fitted to ensure the car handles just like a MK1 should do.
An all round fantastic driving experience.
