We are very pleased to offer this stunning Mexico Recreation, for the second time.
This car was supplied to one of our regular collectors by ourselves in 2015 and is now available for sale once again.

* 2.0 Pinto engine fitted (rebuilt with nice upgrades)
* Type 9 5 speed gearbox (rebuilt)
* Full bare shell rebuild with superb paintwork and detail
* All correct chassis strengthening in place

A fantastic looking and fantastic driving example, which really is of the highest quality build.

For any interested parties, please call us to discuss the vehicle and for any further details/pictures.

Originally a 1300L Automatic, this car was purchased in 2010 by the Waine brothers, and as detailed, was stripped to a bare shell and rebuilt with the finest standards and detail, to create what can only be described as an outstanding piece of automotive brilliance.

Truly Concours throughout, this recreation is superb from top to bottom.

In 2015 we owned the car ourselves and a regular collector purchased the car from us, since then it has lived in a climate controlled display room, and has been enjoyed out on the road a handful of times.

Body & Paintwork

The first thing you notice about this car is the beautiful Olympic blue paintwork, not only the colour but the outstanding quality of the paintwork.
It is clear to see, that this is no ordinary Mexico recreation.

A total bare shell rebuild has been carried out, and this extremely high standard of finish has been carried through the entire shell, including the full underside of the vehicle, and engine bay.
The inner arches, door shuts and boot have not been missed, and are of the same high standard.
The metal wheels arches have been fitted beautifully, and give it the full ‘rally car’ effect.

All lights and badges are in fantastic order just as you would expect, and the original spec decals look fantastic. This is a truly beautiful vehicle, and must be seen to be truly appreciated.

Interior & Trim

The interior of this car really compliments the high standard carried through the vehicle.
A six dial instrument cluster has been fitted, along with an immaculate RS steering wheel.

The original seats are fitted, and are in superb condition, showing no signs of any wear, the carpet is still thick and without any damage or signs of wear, along with the doorcards, headlining and trims.

A truly fantastic place to be.

The engine in this vehicle is an absolute cracker.
The engine bursts into life with the first turn of the key, and runs beautifully from completely cold all the way through to normal running temperatures which it maintains perfectly.

As with the rest of the vehicle, the engine is of a very high standard indeed.

A 2.0 Pinto engine was chosen as the best candidate for doing this car justice, and was built using a strengthened 205 block, with some cylinder head modifications.
With the help of a glorious sounding 4-2-1 Ashley Sports exhaust, the car produces 110bhp.

A rebuilt Type 9 five speed gearbox has been fitted, along with a new clutch and quick shift.

An absolute pleasure to use, and of course the gearbox tunnel has been modified correctly.

Running Gear

Obviously the chassis has had the correct strengthening carried out, as per an original Mexico.
This includes the chassis rails and flitch plate’s, it has anti tramp bars fitted of course, along with an anti-dive kit and 22mm anti roll bar.

Upgraded shock absorbers and springs have been fitted, along with vented front discs.
With these upgrades finished with nice size Minilite alloy wheels, the car handles and stops brilliantly and is absolutely fantastic to drive.
