History

Supplied new by Caffyns Audi, this RS4 has remained with the same owner from new.

The history file will please even the most fastidious of people, with the original spare key & fob present, all paperwork dating back to the original order, including paperwork for the alloy wheel ‘fiasco’ which saw some cars (including this one) have all wheels replaced under warranty.

Body & Paintwork

Finished in Misano Red, having benefitted from being detailed as part of our prep, this example looks simply fantastic.

Along with the ‘black pack’ option (chrome window frame/trims & roof rails in black), this car looks superb.

The styling of the B5 RS4 is arguably somewhat iconic & set the bar for future ‘fast wagons’….. subtle but very purposeful, especially to any ‘petrol heads’ who could tell instantly this was the ‘ultimate’ wagon on the rare occasion they may spot one on the road.

The wider wings, wheels, flared bumper with the side vents, the slightly lower stance….. a very iconic car!

All glass, lights, trims are original & are of course in excellent order.

The body has no dents, or damage – presenting very nicely indeed.
A few very small stonechips / touch ups as you would fully expect, but these only add to the honesty of this example.

All wheels are original & in good condition, with brand new genuine centre caps & new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.

Interior & Trim

The interior is as per the rest of the car, presenting very nicely & without the usual wear & tear issues these cars suffer from.

All buttons, trims & switches are without the usual ‘pealing/worn’ rubberised coating which so often tarnish these otherwise fantastically designed interior cabins.
Everything works exactly as it should do of course.

The sought after ‘Hi Tec’ Recaro seats are in fantastic condition, as are the original floor mats, steering wheel, gear knob & all other usual wear points. Clearly a loved & cherished example by the only owner.
The rear seats look to have had very little – if any use, the boot area is also in superb condition, with the luggage cover operating exactly as it should.

Carbon door & dash trims are unmarked & the Bose sound system sounds fantastic.
A very nice place to be!

Engine

The original RS4 created somewhat of a storm upon release.

A 2.7L BiTurbo V6, mated to a 6 speed manual & Audi’s world renowned Quattro system.
Around 380bhp, 0-60mph in under 5 seconds & a top speed of 155mph – all from a standard ‘estate car’!

This example has benefitted from a sensible remap which means a power figure of 420bhp, a claimed 0-60mph of around 4.5 seconds and a top speed well in excess of 170mph.
Most importantly though, the only mature owner of this vehicle had this carried out to improve driveability & MPG.

The car runs beautifully as you would expect of a car with such low mileage & so well cared for.
The engine bay present very nicely too.

Running Gear

As per the rest of the car, the underside condition is very good indeed.

All running gear is in excellent condition, with the car driving faultlessly.

The addition of Koni shock absorbers (maintaining original ride height) & a short shifter are arguably additions to make the car ‘how it should have been’ & only make the drive even better than factory.
