Astra GTE 16v – 18K Miles: Sales Preparation
Upon collecting the car and getting the car back to our headquarters, we placed the car on our ramp to make a start in preparation.
In terms of cleaning works to the underside, we placed the car on our ramp, removed the wheels and after cleaning the inner arches of any ‘road grime’, we cleaned the suspension components, brake calipers, and brake discs.
The original wheels were cleaned inside and out, then re-fitted with tyre gel being applied to inner and outer walls.
All running gear underneath was cleaned, as was the fuel tank and floor pan.
The eagle eyed will notice the paint runs on the spare wheel well, and also on the front arches, these are factory paint runs which is very common of Vauxhall’s of this era.
We also stripped out all lights and both bumpers to clean behind them.
The engine bay also had various parts removed to be cleaned thoroughly, and to ease access to the inner wings for a full clean and polish before all parts were re-fitted.
