This was a one owner vehicle which we purchased.
The underside had been coated with thick black underseal a couple of times during its life, to protect it from the elements – should the owner ever be caught out in the rain.
As you would expect, having been coated a couple of times, the underseal was very thick.
We made the decision to remove the underseal as the chassis condition is important to be seen on these vehicles with them being known for having corrosion issues.
The car was placed on to our ramp, wheels removed, and all underseal removed, being very careful not to damage the original finish to the floorpan/chassis in doing so.
Once the underseal was removed, we cavity waxed all the chassis legs and box sections, followed by applying a clear protection wax to the floor pan and arches to ensure that the car was still protected from the elements, whilst still showing its superb original condition.
Once completed, the wheels were deep cleaned, ceramic coated and refitted.
Here you will see some during and after pictures.
