The Porsche 944, having spent many years being overlooked, these vehicles are now in high demand and have seen a significant increase in value.

However, nice examples are difficult to source, with 944’s having been ‘cheap’ for many years in the past, this meant many examples were ‘used and abused’, often without correct regular maintenance.

We are pleased to present this very original 944 S2, in great condition with the last owner for some 23 years, benefitting from comprehensive service history with either Porsche or Porsche Specialists throughout its lifetime, this 944 S2 not only looks great, but it has clearly been a loved example.

The Porsche 944 S2, the last iteration of the 944, and regarded by many the best of the bunch.
To say the history file with this vehicle is thorough would be an understatement.

This vehicle was supplied new by Dick Lovett, to the first owner – Mr Quinlan.
Mr Quinlan owned the car from 1992 – 1994.
The second owner – Mr Burge only owned the car for one year until 1995.
In 1995 the car was purchased by Mr Haddy, who owned the vehicle for an incredible 23 years!
This car has clearly been cherished, having had a no expense spared lifestyle over its entire life, with various invoices for servicing, and various bits and pieces along the way.

Below are the details of the service history, all of which has either been with Porsche or Porsche Specialists.

Body & Paintwork

Amazingly, this 944 S2 still proudly displays its original paintwork, anybody who knows these cars, will know that this is almost unheard of.

As you would expect, with the mileage covered, it does show a little bit of patina in places, but overall this example presents great, especially considering it has never had any restorations type works at all.
Either a car to appreciate for its originality, which is how we would have the vehicle, or indeed, a car which could easily be made ‘perfect’ with little work if that is how you prefer your vehicles.

The underbody and inner arches are very clean, and look great – again being original, but having been cleaned previously, and kept clean since.
The electric tilt sunroof is fully removable, and works as it should do.

All decals and badges appear to be original, as is the glass.

Interior & Trim

The interior of this 944 S2 looks superb, the colour (Cobalt Blue) is absolutely great and works brilliantly with the white paintwork.

The seats show very little sign of any wear, indeed you could be forgiven for thinking this example had covered only half of the mileage. No rips or tears, to any of the original carpet, the original steering wheel is still in place and is in good condition, and the gearknob is again, original and is the only part of this terrific 90’s interior that shows any real wear.

Everything still works just as it should do, and all switch gear is in good condition.

The 944 S2 sports the fantastic 3.0 normally aspirated 16v engine, producing 211bhp and a respectable 207lb ft of torque.

A superb car to drive, giving great performance on the road.
With 0-60mph over is around 6.5 seconds, and a top speed of over 140mph, it is clear to see why the 944 S2 was well received, but it is the mid range torque that still impresses today.

Having benefitted from regular servicing, and a very recent full major service, including belts, fluids and filters, this example drives just as it should do, and have course has no unwanted noises, nor any smoking issues.

The engine bay itself presents very well, more like that of a vehicle with half the mileage.

Running Gear

As you would expect, all running gear is in great operating order.

On the road, the car is an absolute pleasure to drive.
The gearbox and clutch operate just as you would wish, and the driveline/diff is without any unwanted noises.

Brakes are very effective, and slow the car promptly, in a nice straight line.
All tyres are a premium matching brand, all with lots of tread remaining, and of course the wheels are in great condition.
