A nice useable example, which presents well.

Original wheels
Original stereo
Original Recaro leather interior
Correct booklets
Capri 280 brochure

Increasingly rare, this Capri 280 is ready to be enjoyed.

History

Sadly the early history of the vehicle was lost by a previous owner, so the history starts at 2003.

However, an original set of booklets have been sourced, along with a Capri 280 brochure and are within the file.
Various receipts and invoices are present for servicing over the years, plus various parts.

Also within the file is complete MOT history from 2003 which was showing 21,185 miles at the time.
An email confirming that the vehcile is indeed a genuine Capri 280 from the VIN number is also present.

Body & Paintwork

Previously repainted in the original Brooklands green, the paint presents well, with only a few age related marks/imperfections.

All trims are in good condition, the bumpers retain the original satin finish, and all lights are in good working order.
Bump strips are original and in good condition, as are the window seals.

A mark on the sunroof is present, but does not detract from the car.

A nicely presented Capri 280, which could either be enjoyed or could indeed be improved for little cost to take it to the next level.

Interior & Trim

This example has a dashboard which is free from any cracking which is a rarity in itself.

Still fitted with the Capri 280 specific Recaro leather seats, with both fronts seats showing some of the typical ‘cracking/aging’ from leather seats but still looking good, and the rear seats looking very good with obvious little use..

Carpets are still nice and thick, and four original Ford mats are fitted, all of which are in good order.
Original stereo is still fitted and the switchgear is all working correctly as you would expect, this includes the rear wiper, and the heater fans work on both speeds.

Engine

Starts first turn of the key effortlessly – just as you would expect.

The Capri 280 sounds beautiful as the V6 fires in to life, and instantly idles smoothly – an aftermarket exhaust has been fitted (receipt present) which gives this example a lovely, extra deep note.
The engine holds temperature just as it should, and drives fantastically well.

Within the last couple of years, the car has had a kenlowe fan fitted, plus a full service.

Running Gear

As per the rest of this Capri, the running gear is all in good working order.

Brakes are amongst the best we have felt in a Capri, and the suspension is without any knocking.
The steering feels good, gearbox and clutch operate as they should do and the car is a pleasure to drive.
